Fast Strike Defense

Fast Strike Defense I created the FAST STRIKE™ Whip after searching for personal defense, martial arts and hand to hand combat products for my family members. I found that the majority of these items required the user to learn specific and elaborate techniques to use them effectively. I was specifically looking for non-lethal products that my daughters and wife could use to protect themselves when walking to their cars or across campus. I purchased other defense products such as Escrima sticks / fighting sticks and various whips but found them very difficult to use and difficult to carry. Other self-defense products such as Tonfas, Sais and various batons were also quickly ruled out as options because they were lethal and illegal in many states. Knives were considered as well but the legalities around using them were definitely a worry and these products are not considered to be non-lethal self-defense products. I really liked the idea of a whip type product but needed to refine the concept to prevent the user from striking themselves during use. This was accomplished by creating a spring like action that limits the travel of the striking end of the whip and increases the striking velocity. The spring action also allows the user to deliver repeated strikes in rapid succession without the worry of self-striking. Non-Lethal personal safety is the goal and the FAST STRIKE™ Whip is the product to meet this need.
