Cruzen Outdoors

In 2013, while I was attending USD, my now father in law Ken, came up with an idea to attach a wireless speaker to his bike to make his rides more enjoyable and earbuds unnecessary. After a few short rides and constant fumbling with the phone he kept in his pocket, Ken decided to find a phone mount to pair with his new handlebar infotainment system.

After some positive feedback while out enjoying his new set up, Ken approached me with an idea to turn his creation into a business. It really couldn’t have been a better time for me since I was going through business school and I needed a project to sink my teeth into. It took a few months to design and mock up a viable product but we were able to scrape up enough money to make it happen.

From our start in 2013 until recently, Cruzen has been operating out of Kens garage but because of our success over these past years, we’ve outgrew the garage and now operate out of an office with enough space for future growth.

We’ve come a long way since the initial business idea but still have a long way to go. Thank you for your continued support and please keep an eye out for exciting new products as we roll them out in the coming months.
